BWIS Walks - Preparation for the Orwell Challenge WALK 3

THis is a walk set up by the Ipswich outdoor Group led by Chritina

Her walk  starts promptly, at 9.45am from

the pay and display car park close to:  the Company Shed sea food eatery, Coast Rd, West Mersea, CO5 8PA.

Cost for an all day stay parking is £8.50 , I believe, so car sharing might be a good option to share the cost. Should you decide to park elsewhere, pls ensure you allocate enough time to walk down to the starting point.

We head along the beach, towards East Mersea, then return inland. It is a varied stroll of approx 8.5 miles with great sea views and a pub drink at The Victory, 92 Coast Rd, C05 8LS

They told me walkers are very welcome. they have extensive outdoor seating and are going to be busy on Saturday. There will be a longer waiting time if people order food.

High Tide is expected for 1.56pm, we are going to leave the island long after that.

What to bring: sandwiches or a lunch snack as we have a lunch stop half way

Steve and Sue are regualrs on the Orwell Challenge - and so invite you  to join us as we preare for another year. This year we will be walking to raise money and awareness for Suffolk MInd Suffolk Mind - Suffolk's independent mental health charity There are 11 planned walks between Good Friday and June 25th, the day of the walk.
