What is Peer Support?

Peer support – helping me – helping you

For myself – BUT – not by myself

The Peer Support Network teaches you how to give and receive high-quality listening that is free from advice and judgements. We share equal time with each other in pairs.

Learn to listen to yourself and others with care and respect. Discover enough safety for yourself to be free to explore difficult feelings.

Peer Support offers us all the opportunity to create more of the life we want.

PSN is based on the principles that we all have the:

Capacity to be robust, resilient, and emotionally competent

Potential to be well and live a life that works

Power to recover, even when we are hurt and confused

Emotional flexibility to trust and accept support from others

Opportunity to heal and move on in our own time.

BOOK A FREE CHAT with the PSN Facilitator Sue Gray with any questions about the course, by emailing Sue on sue@bwis.online to arrange a time that works for us both.

What do I Need to Apply for the Programme?

1. Curiosity about yourself and what keeps your life working well

2. An interest in learning about the way you and other people work

3. A training buddy (This is a friend or contact who is also attending, ideally someone geographically close so you can meet in person in the weeks between sessions to complete the ‘homework’ actions.)

NOTE: If you can’t arrange this yourself we can help you to set it up.

5. Money

The course is charged at a sliding scale: you choose what to pay depending on your means. We do not want the cost to prevent anyone from attending, so please talk to us if that might be the case.

The full course, including all the zoom modules, workshops, training materials and tutor support between sessions is £299

The minimum we ask for is £95. You decide what you can afford between these two figures and let us know when you book. Payment by installments is also an option: talk to us to set this up.
